old carts

I believe that old shells are fine to use even if they are a little rusty.

 

If you're storing shells away for a sustained period make sure they're in

a dry environment. An occupied dwelling is certainly the best place.

 

I found some old shells in our loft and have yet to shoot them.

They are The F.D Brisish Loaded Smokeless, Non Corrosive, No. 5 shot size.

 

I can't find any information about them. My Dad says they must be at least

30 years old.

The F.D are made and loaded by Frank Dyke and are at least 40 years old probably late 50`s early 60`s

F D = Frank Dyke, used to be quite a well known name in cartridges. Around 30-40 years old probably. Still good. Probably Fiocci cases.
