Beautiful gun, what is she?

 

Mountstephen of Torquay, circa 1885. Most probably built by a good Birmingham gunmaker and badged by Mountstephen

 

36" damascus barrels, 3 1/4" chambers and shoots 2 1/4 oz ITM

 

Are you still doing tickets for sunk island?

 

Yes but these geese did not come from there.

 

They weighed in at 4 lb 6 oz and 8 lb 10 oz, I'll let you guess which was which!

Very well done, got your 1st under your belt for this season and by looking at that link, you may just add to this.

Any chance you could push some of those my way :no:

 

Thats a lovely gun, how heavy is that compared to a 12G...

 

Im sure some one on our marsh must be using something like that as what ever they were using was letting off one hell of a bang the other evening
