stirky
I was out on our marsh this morn, not one goose flighted off my way, they all went inland about half mile away, I had a drive round after admitting defeat, this is where i found them, having a right picnic,

Spaniel
Wow there a few there, very nice to see. We have Greylags and Canadas down here at present, seen the odd ones shot but they have been to high to shoot when they have been flying over me...but i just like watching them

Frenchieboy
Did you not think that they were just sticking 2 featherer fingers up at you? That is a trully amazing sight mate!
Spaniel
I watched Autumn watch last night and seems like the weather is changing next week, and with the winds it should push the pinks down the coast, so we might see a few other migration birds also
sako751sg
Outstanding sight fella, and one of the truly evocative sounds. After an inland session with the deeks on stibble a have that noise in my head for days, and helps drown out the missus moaning. one shot paddy
Am just back late last night (Thur) from shooting pinks up in Aberdeen, up around the spey and findhorn bays... This is my 20+ yr going, And i have never seen a flight of geese like i saw coming off findhorn bay on Wednesday morning first light 6.45am, i would guess up to 70,000, they where still coming off the roost 8.30am... Well worth the 1300 miles round trip from the north of ireland

bigdev
Quality Video Stirky...can ya not shoot that seawall ? the Pinks seemed well low ? or is that RSPB land..
stirky
Yes jonny its morecambe bay area, as you can see the pinks are pilling in to the barley fields. bigdev, no its a shame that we cant shoot the seawall, or the mud/marsh out in front, but there again they have a safe place to feed and rest, Thats probably good goose management, it seems to work as numbers increase every year, so does our club bag returns. Thanks for all ther comments.
