lazza
Hiya All I've recently been told about a waterproofing brick paint that is made by thompsons. It apparently works very well on canvas.I have realtree trousers & jacket, but these aren't waterproof.I was told if I painted this stuff on, it would waterproof my gear & turn it slightly darker, which would be great.I'm off to the builders merchants to try & get some.I'll let you know if it works! All The Best

lazza
Hiya All I've used the Thompsons Water Seal on my gear & it's worked well!I tried it on a canvas seat first & it done the job! Just one thing though, hang the items on the washing line for 24 hours, as the fumes are quite bad!
Steve
Sounds good Lazza. Did it make your gear stiff or is it still flexible? Is it a shiny finish? Steve
lazza
Hiya Steve It's just the same except a little darker, which I don't mind as mine had lightened a bit anyway. I paid £13 for the tin & that has done 2 trousers,2coats,my large army rucksack & my gunslip. So all in all,it was'nt too expensive!

PC Futrett
Why not stick feathers on yourself then you would not need all that waterproofing or a hide cause the pigeons will come straight to you...............
