  1. You obviously have not seen the Jasper Carrot sketch. "There is only one way to get rid of a mole" Wait till dark, sit on a Deck chair in the middle of your garden. A side by side with a maglite torch strapped to it..............BOOOOOM! You could trap them and skin them to make your very own original moleskin trousers.
  2. I can not believe I found this stuff on a site http://www.popculturemadness.com/Music/Sho...ting-Songs.html Shot In The Dark - Ozzie Osbourne (For the twilight foxers) Happiness Is A Warm Gun - Beathes (For the pigeon shooters) Run Joey Run - David Geddes (Rolf Harris theme song) and my favourite Love Gun - Kiss (For that special night in with the wife)
  3. You could try Ebay................well you can get rid of anything on there
  4. May I join the lenghtening list and offer my sympathies to you and you family. The pain never goes away but then neither do the memories. Its the memories that make you strong by being able to look back on the happier times you had together. Loosing someone close to you is always hard but all I do is close my eyes and imagine them there beside you smiling.

  6. There they go again lowering the tone of the conservation again. No I am not of the checkered cloth nor am I a mason. (That will put cat amoung the pigeons) B) How can you guys manage to look up to shoot pigeons if you are always watching your crotch
  7. I think the opinion here is "if in doubt get flocked"
  8. If Badgers are protected shouldn't a government official be standing beside them? Just think thinning out two types of vermin with one shot. Now thats what I call conservation.
  9. I got mine because I am a computer engineer, Futrett is a Scots slang word for Ferret. I like ferreting around inside computers hence PC Futrett

    jokes

A small boy was lost at a large shopping mall. He approached a uniformed policeman and said, "I've lost my dad!" The cop asked, "What's he like?" The little boy replied, "Beer, Football and large breasted women." "But what's that got to do with anything"

    jokes

A farmer who wanted to get a divorce paid a visit to a lawyer. The lawyer said, "How can I help you?" The farmer said, "I want to get one of those dayvorces". The lawyer said, "Do you have any grounds?" The farmer said, "Yes, I got 40 acres". The lawyer said, "No, you don't understand, Do you have a suit?" The farmer said, "Yes, I got a suit, I wears it to church on Sundays". The lawyer said, "No, no, I mean, do you have a case?" The farmer said, "No, I ain't got a case, but I got a John Deere." The lawyer said, "No, I mean, do you have a grudge?" The farmer said, "Yes, I got a grudge, that's where I parks the John Deere." The lawyer said, "Does your wife beat you up or something?". The farmer said, "No, we both get up at 4:30". The lawyer said, "Is your wife a nagger?" The farmer said, "No, she's a little white gal, but our last child was a nagger and that's why I wants a dayvorce!
  12. They are all 12ft lbs otherwise you would need an FAC
  13. Trouble with the filters is you can not spot the diference between sheep cows and rabbits at long range if the field is populated. Prefer to shoot them with a sun tan using the white hot light.
  14. Myself and my shooting partners walk with a lamps clipped on top of the scopes. Gives you a bit of excersise as well as a good bag some nights. When out in the landy we have modified it with a sun roof at the back so the shooter stands rifle ready and the driver uses lamp that is fitted on a swivel through the roof. If all 3 of us are out in the landy then only one gun is shooting it's safe and everyone knows what everyone else is doing.
  15. I believe myself and Cranfield had this discission some time ago. It is illegal to discharge any firearm 1 hour after sunset except where you have written permission from the landowner to use said firearm for the purpose of vermin control.
  16. Deer not my favoutire species at the moment. Just demolished the front of my car with one on Sunday night on my way home. £1000 pounds of damage to the front of my car. Result 1 dead deer (After I kicked the **** out of it) Insurance company asked if there was anyone else involved I said no just me and Mrs R Deer who unfortuatly died at the scene.

    Birthday

Thanks a lot guys. I am at home at the moment recovering from an op I got the day before my birthday, guess I'll have to delay the celebrations a few weeks. Good job I didn't open a bottle of the barley brew it may have gone off by the time it will take for me to recover. :( Thanks again
  18. 10,000 rounds a month are comming in to the distributers so allocation is still limited. There is still only one manufacturer CCI who rebadge for everyone else so until demand increases we are stuck with it. Local gun shops do not carry a lot of stock as it has not hit the popularity mark yet, also can be expensive around £28+ per 100. Sort of makes you think every time you pull the trigger. I have a very tight (thats money conscious) friend/associate I am sure he counts the cost of every trip in his diary. Funnily enough he is NOT a Scot either (before you utter the usual derogatory comment) B) Can you imagine having a semi-auto it would cost a fortune if you were a bit trigger happy.
  19. Nice one Deako Getting a bit heated this one...............Ah yes I remember this well in my early days on this site...........upsetting the natives because my sport did not fit thier mould. B) Better watch what I'm saying or I'll be getting banned again
  20. Hope you got my PM BD I have had difficulty adding to this post for some reason but seems to be OK now thanks to Cranfield. As I said I used to have problems with it when using Winchester ammo. I tried various makes and found CCI subs work the best. One of my friends has an identical gun and his will not cycly CCI but wors fine with the Winchesters. I have just ordered my .17HMR but have steed clear of thre Ruger due to the cycling problems with the rotary magazine. I have went for a CZ/Bruno BA in varmint blued barrel as I already have a Bruno in .22 BA with no problems since I have had it.
  21. Sorted managed to get the size down a bit (the photgraph I mean) Posted in the general Banter & photos forum.

  24. That's what I like to see, another challange to the Pigeonwatch dictatorship. I seem to remember being here once before a little while ago when my jokes were censored by the leaders because they thought they did not come under the concept of general banter. Well here's my thinking that laughter was free but now even this is being governed! On another note Cranfield I posted photographs of my babies over a week ago and they have not appeared in the Gallery. May I ask why it takes so long to put them up or am I blackballed from this site altogether now?
  25. We were out on Friday night 16th with .22 rim fire's. Got about 30 between the 2 of us. They are a big big this year the warm spel we had from March through April must have made them lay early as most of them were flying. We de-housed a couple of nests by taking the branch down with a couple of well placed shots into the limb of the small tree................brilliant fun though
