garjo
I believe its 'Employment and Support Allowance'.....but don't quote me on it. There are a number of benefits: Disability Living allowance - can be paid if you work or not working so long as you meet the conditions to qualify- two parts care and mobility. Care is paid at three diffferent rates and mobility (walking) probelms is paid at 2 different rates. If you claim and qualify you can get either parts of the allowance or both depending on whthere you have care needs OR whthere your disabilty means you have walking problems (this allowance has tio be claimed before the age of 65 if you are aged over 65 or over then you would look to claim Attendance Allowance if you had care needs) There is also Working Tax Credit - payable if you work more than 16 hrs a week and dependenton your income. In with this is thsi they give an additional amount if you are disabled. ESA (Employment Support Allowance)is paid if you are inacaple of work (this is the oone thats been in the news lateley) There are also industrial injuries benefits if your disability or ill health is caused by accident at work or have industrial disease. Good link for info is: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/life/b...or_disabled.htm Basic messge is if in doubt get advice! Hope this helps

dazza
If you work full time with a disability you can apply for it. My mate gets it for diabetes. Usually the low rate component of DLA. £18.45 a week.
garjo
Low rate is £18.95 - low rate care or low rate mobility - supsect your mate gets lower rate care quote name='dazza' date='Oct 24 2010, 06:40 PM' post='1216113'] If you work full time with a disability you can apply for it.
