Beardo
I wouldnt they are Poisonous  :o also known as Amanita muscariafound in Pine woods Les Ps Cracking Photo Mr Nick no quite right - yes they are poisonous if eaten in large quantities raw, however they have been used (esp by Finnish Shaman) for thousands of years to go on spirit journeys. I shan't publish how one must process them to remove the toxicity (the Finnish Shaman drink the deer urine after they have been fed the mushroom!). Not wise to eat none-the-less. They also only grow near Silver Birch as they have a symbiotic relationship with them.
