jfgpm
Last full moon I was out with a friend of mine. We called 12 foxes in. 4 came from the wrong direction (wind) and could save their life before my friend was able to shoot. One was too close to shoot and escaped in a nearby hedge (I called him in on 5m) One was missed (dog did found nothing) One has been hit so badly that we didn't make a photo of it. And the rest. .22-250. Shortest shot 30 m Longest shot 180 m (on stubbles) 3 hunting areas ( about 950 ha) 5 hours hunting Edited November 4, 2010 by jfgpm

jfgpm
Cracking night, what call were you using? Thanks EB Thank you very much. Actually I have no idea. I bought several ones in the States (it is a pitty I can't remeber because one of them ist great), one in the UK (http://www.foxcalluk.co.uk/about.php) and three in Germany (Bird sound http://www.klaus-demmel.de/, caller for roe deer calling http://www.klaus-demmel.de/ (really good for imitating a dying hare, mouse whistle). The fox call from Uk quite its job after one season. What is very sad because it was good working. I have got also this one but never worked. Don't no why: http://imgs.tootoo.com/ea/55/ea554f3881cc8...270efaa03a6.jpg Ah and this on I use sometimes. It is not that loud but if a fox is close enough it works from time to time. What I recconed: Here the old hunters always tell you: Just some short sounds in a little serie than quiet for minimum 15-30min. Than again etc. I tried that but it dosen't work really well. So I startet screeming the whole time. From fox to fox it is totally different by which sound he is attracted. We had one save on a big meddow. I started screemin with call number on. He rised his head but thats it. It gave my best but no reaction. Because we had nothing to loose I switched to another call etc. etc. When I started calling with the 6th call he immediatelly looked in our direction and started running. Since that time we choose a place and I try all calls. What calls do you use ? Edited November 4, 2010 by jfgpm
