liamp79
Anyone fancy having a meet up in the Chippenham, Wiltshire area? Was thinking it could be a social meet at a pub to start with. With the view of maybe organising a day out on the clays for another day! Would be good to put some names to faces and talk all things Shooting. Was thinking about Saturday 27th November, before the christmas party rush. I know a nice pub that does some good beers and food. Open to any ideas for different dates or places! Regards Liam. COACH
Your more than welcome to come and shoot at Wylye on the A303 where the food is great but the beer is non existent I`m afraid. You should make sure you drink after you shoot of course.
Blunderbuss
Hi Liam, I quite fancy that but would have to avoid the beer coz of the need to drive. Still up for it though if you get some interest
rocksaplenty
I'd be up for that and I'll drag a couple of mates along. We could have a shoot in the afternoon and then a pub in Chippenham evening, and make a night of it? Or, if someone brings a trap we could do some clays? Ferret Master
I'm definitely up for a spot of shooting during the day then pubbing it. If the pub is within staggering distance of Chippenham then this is wonderful because I can either get the beer taxi home or easily sort a lift. liamp79
Sounds like a plan is forming guys! Dave, where were you thinking about having the clays??? Think my mate has got a trap somewhere! And would the Sunday suit more people then???, we could still have a quick pint (Or a coke) afterwards! liamp79
Shall we go for sunday 28th November then guys. Clays and then maybe onto a pub for some dinner. Dave(rocksaplenty) Has told me that the Weatherspoons does a good enough sunday dinner! I've asked a mate if he's still got his trap. Hes going to have a look in the shed(can't remember if he lent it out) If anyone else can get one let me know. Once we're definate on numbers, i don't mind getting the clays. Then we can sort out cash there. Can you post names and if you're bringing anyone else, so we'll know numbers. Cheers Liam

Ferret Master
Where would we shoot clays? I have a reccomendation for Sunday morning at a cheap local club if there are not plans in place? FM
liamp79
Hi again guys, Ollie (Ferret Master) has said about going to Bidestone clay club (actually in corsham) for the clays. He thinks its £10 for 50 clays. What does everyone think about that??? They shoot 10-1230 on sunday mornings. Think it would be better organised than me in a field with a box of clays and a trap! Any views on that??? Cheers Liam

liamp79
Glad to have you on board too OTH, be good to meet you. Dave, just spoke to bob. He said its his birthday on that sunday but he's still going to try and get over. I think the clay club idea would be a lot easier too! Blunderbuss
Yes I bumped into Bob at the shoot on Wednesday and told him about this, He said it was his birthday and so he wasn't sure if he could swing it. I rashly said we'd all buy him a beer and that seemed to tip the the balance
hendersons
I'm easy either way clay ground or in a field I can miss just as well in both. At the moment i'm being told I can have the day off work (I stress at the moment) so if all goes well so if there is anybody who is near me who would like a lift so they can have a beer or 50 give me a p.m. nick
Ferret Master
Hi chaps, It's at Pickwick Lodge Farm down Guyers Lane in Corsham. Once you turn onto the lane you follow the road until you pass over a cattle grid, you then go through some double gates immediately on the left into the farm yard. You can park here and you will see us meeting by a storage container. Altertatively I could meet people in Chippenham Sainsbury's car park at 9:30am? Cheers, Ollie
