rtaylor
Probably been covered a hundred time, but I'm in the market for a semi-auto shotgun. Criteria are it must be at least a 3" magnum, be able to convert to firearms with an extension tube, something like an 8 shot and it would need to be fairly cheep somewhere around £300. Almost certainly second hand. Not an escort though. Anyone got any ideas on something suitable? Cheers Edited November 8, 2010 by rtaylor

Now back in the shop... FOREVER!!! I have looked all over the place for the same sort of deal and talked at length to my local gun dealer. Other than the Webley 812 or 820 there is nothing much cheaper unless you go second hand and even then you are looking at £450 upwards for a Franchi 720, old Browning Gold or the Beretta AL390 which I have seen for £395 in Kent. However, I am not sure about being able to extend the tube for an eight rounder. I have broken the bank and gone for a Benelli Montefeltro, ... yes its a grand, but the gun is a peach, quality and reliability with a 5 year guarantee. Good luck
jackinbox99
I think for that sort of money you will be very stuck for choice. Ive an al391 which is awesome, but you will be very lucky to find one for less than £500->£600. The older al390s or 303`s are around and cheaper, but whether or not they are easily expanded to 8 shots or not I am not sure.
ellebarto
Pump action are a lot cheaper, very satisfying and just as user friendly once you get used to them. Mossberg 500??
rtaylor
I have a pump at the moment. Baretta silver pigeon SL2 don't get on with it. I want to get shot of it and get a semi-auto to replace. I have been looking at the Webley, franchi and fabarms. Has anyone got any experience of these? I only have a shotgun ticket at the moment with scope to get a firearms in the near future. Cheers
