turbo33
You need mounts with an arrestor pin, or you could try single piece mount, may also have an arrestor pin Edited November 17, 2010 by turbo33
Dekers
As above, also consider an Arrestor Block and/or some decent mounts!
Billy.
I'd like to see a pic of the mounts. If they can't stand a jolt from a springer, there's a problem.
airarms
having an issue, two sets of mount on two rifles are jumping backwards, they are single screws, i understand why on one of them cos the mounts have been well used and need replacing but the other, i had just put them on , tight as possible still moving anyone help or have this problem.. oh yes .. on springers /// what gun is it?are there any arrestor holes on gun. if not u can buy a block that goes on the dove tail groove your scope is fixed to ,then u butt the mounts up to the block.this will stop the mounts moving back
syborg
i had the same problem with my bsa mercury, no matter what i tried the rear clamp would eventualy jump right off the rails and hit the floor!! in the end i simply bought a riser clamp with just has a dovetail on top and mounted it behind the front clamp to stop it jumping back... also i shortened the mainspring which made the gun cock easier, less recoil and alot better accuracy.. i guess it depends on gun type and options available to you. but for me it worked a treat... or if all else fails and you dont want to drill arrestor holes if there are none or mod the gun.....try iron/open sights... hope this helps syborg.
