Hi Bob.

I know that you state a electrical problem, were there any symptoms before this.

nothing :( the wife came home late last night parked it up and it would not start this morning, checked the battery etc all ok, she tried it tonight and its as dead as a dodo, i jump started it and we had a smell of hot plastic from around the fuse box switched it off and left it as is, i can't be bothered with it, we where given £2000 part x on it but thats out the window now, so its full price for the new car now,

Help alot to see the actual car :good:

I'm in Portsmouth and would be interested if the general condition is alright. after a diesel to run on Veg oil for the new year. Does it still start then or does it need jump starting?

I have sent you a msg

Thats happened a few 307's round here. Not a lot that can be done, sorry to hear of your trouble Bob. For some reason that was a fault with 307s  and as for Veg oil, a HDi wont run on that stuff very long at all!

If you happen to be breaking the car yourself, those wheels will make £150. Engine/gearbox £150 and the shell will make around £100 for scrap/recycling.

Thanks lads,

just for the record,

it will not jump start as the short circuit is on that side of the loom,

as for the car i will try and get some pics,we have used it for everything from holidays in Holland and Germany, to taking the horse tac to the yard and the dog on walks so its done more than most,

the night the wife drove it back she came from London, run as sweet as a nut as it always did, then a cold night and we just thought it was the battery had gone, jump started it and as we all know you cant put the smoke back :(,

i will clean it and have all the paperwork ready if anyone wants it,if not then the stripping will start in the new year,

bob.

cash price now and is the lowest i will go is £450 cash as mentioned the parts will cover this easy.

IF IT HELPS ANYONE OUT I WILL TAKE A NICE VARIMAG SCOPE AS A SWAP, AS ITS A HARD TIME OF YEAR TO FIND CASH

BOB.
