Cranfield
I have only "touched up" the white neck and wing bits. I used a quick drying, white primer and undercoat. It looks just fine. I didn,t mix in any sand, but then I ain,t no Picasso. I haven,t painted the grey/blue body parts. Has anyone else ?
Buzzer
Nope, I do the same as you do Cranfield use under coat (white) to touch up the necks and wing bars. A mate of mine once used sand on one of his coys to see what it looked like.. not to good I must say but he is a bodge it and legg it sort of chap  All the best Buzzer
ernyha
Daviddjlloyd is struggling to log into the forum and when he manages it he will put you right. He paints for a living and does his decoys and mine . Hate to let him see this but he does a very good job of them. B)

daviddjlloyd
WHEY HAYYY IM IN Hi Tommy ,well I take it you have read ERNYHA singing my praises bless im. Well I have been touching up my deeks for years now ,and in the past used Masonary paint the gritty sort to over come them shineing. This worked very well and they needed doing about twice a year. I have not been able to get any of late but have just painted them with;------------ Emulsion various shades of grey and White. The MAGIC ingredient being the addition of SILVER SAND which is very fine and has, even if I DO SAY MYSELF, a very good job. Silver sand can be obtained from kiddies education shops. TRY IT AND YOU WILL BE SUPPRISED AT THE EFFECT . BEST OF LUCK B)
