huffhuff
Hi guys, Here are a few dates coming up in my local (ish) area. Some people have shown interest in getting a squad together so why not put your name down if you fancy joining them?!? If you have other Herts shoot that can go on the list, let me know. I'm sure this may end up a waste of time or a long-winded way of doing things - but hey ho! If you add your name to which date, i'll keep a list below here for easy reference. ___________________________________________________________________________________ 3rd April - Almshoe Bury Shoot http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=white+lane+herts&aq=&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=11.145796,39.506836&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=White+Ln,+Ippollitts,+Hertfordshire+SG4+7,+United+Kingdom&z=15 This is a 10:00am start with burger van and a cracking layout! 70 bird sporting for £12 I think. Cartridges available on the day too... huffhuff (Ben) twitchynik (Nik) super sharp shooter (Scott) Edited April 1, 2011 by huffhuff

huffhuff
Wow, that's a trip and a half. I guess it makes sense if we go for a beer after then I'd say maybe find another shoot for after but guess most will have to be done by 1. Any other weekend and Jimmy could stay with me, I will see him next weekend anyway and discuss it. I am at a dinner dance on the 15th and will be bleary eyed and sluggish but will make the morning of the 16th, if that is the one that is chosen. Depending where we go, I could maybe organise a little pigeon shoot for late afternoon, depending on the weather.
twitchynik
Popped over to see Ben at the Almshoebury shoot and good fun it was too. Some testing birds and a friendly bunch to shoot with along with a burger van mean I shall definitely be shooting there again. To top it off there's a decent pint to be had just round the corner. huffhuff
Was great to meet you Nik. Good shooting by the way - sorry I wasn't much competition on the day...it's not normally like that...honest...no really Like you say, a real friendly shoot, great/challenging layout, nice people and more importantly - great beer just down the road. Hopefully we can get a few more for the next one Ben

huffhuff
Hi RMC, I'm sure they will be fine with a semi-auto. As long as you don't fully load it (ie. keep it to two shots) and keep a breach-flag in (not needed at most places but courtesy). Wahoooo. See you there. al4x
the Almshoe shoot is on White Lane off the B656 between Codicote and Hitchin, postcode is a little iffy but SG4 8 gets you within a couple of miles

MC
Thanks The one in Almshoebury is pretty much where I went for a meeting yesterday, I was at Todd's green. There was a driven shoot happening while I sat in the car. It is about an hour and a half from me so it could be worth a look
al4x
thats probably the Redcoats shoot run by pretty much the same people, you were under a mile from where they set the clays up
MC
Well I have nothing else on the 6th so perhaps I will take a wander over, If I am allowed of course.
garyb
Wonder if the Cat will come along..... :yp: I probably won't bother.. clays for me are as dull as dishwater - but each to their own Should anyone fancy a Herts range day (Bisley etc) then let me know
