proTOM1
After a few hours feeding this morning i decided to have a walk around 1 of my farms to see if i could bag a partidge or pheasant . Arrived at a sugar beet field for the start had a walk around and had a shot at a pigeon but missed Saw about 12 french but well in the distance . I then crossed the road to a rape field and again saw 6 french but just to far for me ,on to the next few fields hoping for a pheasant but there was a cat walking about so nothing there . Moved on to another wheat stubble heading to a small wood but saw a few patridges heading to the top end so headed up there . Pushed 2 french about 30 yards in front and missed them both ,then put up 20 english 2 hopefull shots and missed again . Got to the top and lifted 3 french about 25 yards in front dropped the first and missed the other . I then lifted 15 english but they headed to the road so where left . I walked on to the next wheat stubble and lifted 8 english and was sure i had hit the back bird with both shots ,sure enough it towered some 80 yards in front .On my way to pick it i put up another 6 french and missed the lot Picked the english and headed across anothe rape field and lifted 3 english about 15 yards in front dropped the first bird then got on the back bird and dropped him aswell ,as soon as it hit the floor a kestrel dropped on it and was trying to fly off with it this i had not seen before from a kestrel anyway it flew off and i picked it . I then headed to a small rape stubble field and walked it pushing 2 coveys of english both 30 plus strong but to far off . Was just walking back to the truck when 2 french got up and came back at me to my lft again hit the first bird with both barrels but it flew off and i watched it till it got to some houses then it was gone . So a nice little walk and saw plenty of birds Bag was
