hi folks,

still waiting on the ole FAO to come inspect my humble abode, in the mean time i have decided to buy an air rifle. My friend has offered me his BSA XL .22 , hardly used and in great condition apparently. he's offering the gun to me for £150, £200 with scope. No idea whet the scope is yet but knowing him it'll be a good un.

Anyone got any views on this gun, good or bad would be greatly appreciated.

A good buy for the money, very jumpy and difficult to get the best out of it. Factory assembly can be variable and can normally be made much smoother by a good airgun smith. Every hunter should have and keep a .22 cal 12ftlb springer IMO, very usefull in some situations that arise

At that price if you fancy it & have got the coin go for it (with a bit of bargaining of course).

Find out what the scope is, do a bit of ggggoogle work and make an offer.

Got one in .177 nice little rifle really like it however if your a big un may not fit you. Mine just about does and I'm only 5'8" on a warm day.
