helenthomas
Also the new Rory Major DVD's are meant to be spot on if your bank balance allows. Am saving my pennies as I speak. Not a book I know, but very worthwhile. Helen.

Is this your Aunt that you always cut sticks for? Sorry to hear that mate. Raqi? What the **** is that all about? No def get a choke chain, you will need this during the early stages of training. I'm just thinking I can give you a lend of training the rough shooters dog, its more or less directed at springers but you might be able to pick up some stuff from it. kighill
guy wallace books the versatile gundog and the specialist gundog both good books also tom brechney dvds are good Put an advert in the wanted section for Training DVD’s. I did this and took advantage of several replies. Watch the DVD and then read the book! I am currently trying to train my first gundog and started with the book, it is so much easier, having seen the DVD. Understanding what is written in the book and then giving the correct instruction/task with the dog. Having said that I will also be seeking some "professional help" (My puppy is more capable than me) Enjoy yourself.

No it was my mum's sister, I think she's only 61, but she hasn't been well. Have had to delay getting the dog until saturday. I was looking at the choke chain today and I dont think it's right- i'm gonna take it back and change it... Went for Raqi cos every1 calls Dad Iraqi-Dan, but the way they say it it's more like Raqi-Dan.... Hence...
