country-kid
hi, i just recently bought a new primos power call. it worked fine when straight out the box but now will barely make a noise except when you blow reallly hard giving out a high pitch noise. i think the problem is the "thingy" in the middle of the blower - if you know what i mean. so any ideas how to fix this? cheers paul
steve_b_wales
Give it a shake! The reed is probably stuck because of your spit going into it. It's unavoidable, I get the same problem with mine.
rascal_2005
can you actually make it sound like a crow steve??
Spaniel
I also seem to get a better sound from mine by removing the rubber band from around the mouth part.....not sure why,
codling99
they all stick when a bit wet,i sort of bit mine sidewards to free it,makes a cracking jackdaw call, and a bloody good crow call too.
steve_b_wales
can you actually make it sound like a crow steve?? Yes, I can make many sounds with the Primos. Crow is the obvious one. I can also make sounds like a Rook and Jackdaw. It's all down to practice. If you make a 'grrrr' sound when blowing the caller, it makes the sound more 'raspy' Just try it out and you should soon get the required sounds you want. Steve. PS. Take the rubber sleeve off it before shaking it! ( )
Imperfection
Run it under a tap. I agree with Steve that you just need practice to be able to replicate various crow calls. If you blow into it like you would a whistle you'll probably sound like Orville the duck on a bad day and you do need to almost growl into it bringing sounds from your stomach. steve_b_wales
thanks guys. i find it quite hard to use I have witnessed friends trying to use the caller, and it sounds like a ruptured duck with a bad dose of dysentry! Don't give up on this caller, it really is a brilliant one. Practice as much as possible, and you should be able to master it eventually. Steve. John_R
is there any videos to teach you? Look at Sam Neyt's video for use with his call, and apply the same idea.

weejase
I find that giving It a good sharp blast through the opposite end every now and then keeps It clear of spittle When I`m calling crows I blow three times two quick ones followed by a third more drawn out one. I`m sure this Is the noise they make when they have found food
