Ireland's Finest!
Has anybody bought his new dvd? Would it be worth buying? I'm a novice foxshooter and keen to pick up as many tips as possible.
Beardo
heard it's ok, but nothing special - i would highly recommend his first book though "Foxing with Lamp & Rifle"
steve_b_wales
heard it's ok, but nothing special - i would highly recommend his first book though "Foxing with Lamp & Rifle" I agree with Nick. I bought it, and was disappointed, because there was not much in the DVD that focused of foxing. His book that Nick mentioned is excellent, and is seen by some as the fox shooter's 'bible'. Other DVD's you could watch and maybe learn something, are by the Warrener. Personanally,I would advise you to try and find an experienced fox shooter, who you could tag along with, and see how it's done. Steve. jonesbach
havent read his first book but had his second book for xmas. read it twice already on these wet nights and learning bits and bobs throughout the read. Any point buying the first edition now as i heard its repeated a bit in the second?? Nothing better than going out and doing rather than watching dvds..agree with steve..find an experienced fox man and ask to tag along. Beardo
the second book is completely different from the first - the first being the essential one, the second is interesting and adds a few new bits. but it doesn't have anywhere near the detail of the first. jonesbach
cheers nick, may have to invest in the first then..dont see many shops stocking these days. must be a good one too as price aint come down from £30!!!
garyb
The 1st book is the better one. The DVD is pretty useless for anyone who's done fox control in the past IMHO

al4x
yep its an ok watch but not very flattering to some of the shooters, though must be hard to shoot straight when on film
Ireland's Finest!
Thanks for the replies lads ye I heard his first book is very good so I might invest in that rather than the dvd. steve_b_wales
The 1st book is excellent. The 2nd is also good, but not as much as the 1st. I would recommend the 1st book. Steve.
