FinFerNan
Is it any different to wearing a jumper/t-shirt with a brand on it though? Regards, Gixer Only if you sew the logo onto the T Shirt or jumper yourself :look:
J@mes
Is it any different to wearing a jumper/t-shirt with a brand on it though? Regards, Gixer depends how big the label is? A small chest label is fine, much the same as any other piece of clothing. But if you have the brand name in HUGE letters all over it you are a chavvy little mug. poontang
My first gun, a Browning 325, had barrel stickers on it. I had to remove them eventually as they upset the balance of the gun, and I found it too tiring to shoot a full course.
gsm1968
Is it any different to wearing a jumper/t-shirt with a brand on it though? Regards, Gixer No I wonder how many of the posters here have shooting vests, ammo bags, gun slips etc with names embroidered on. Or wear branded clothing with the name accross the *****? One of my guns has a barrel sticker and I think it's OK. (for the clay range, not for pheasant shooting on the estate) Gixer, if you want one PM me
FinFerNan
Mmmm but as I (did not actually say but) meant......... Generally you buy T Shirts and the other items listed with the logo already displayed on them. I for one have never bought a gun with logo's emblazoned across the barrels. In the end it's down to the individual, but I just think it looks a bit naff.

Canis
Fine if you are being sponsored but otherwise Barrel stickers are just wrong ! Personally I won't wear clothing with prominent makers logos either.I will make exceptions for performance clothing where i am happy for them to include a makers badge of a couple inches square. Chard
My first gun, a Browning 325, had barrel stickers on it. I had to remove them eventually as they upset the balance of the gun, and I found it too tiring to shoot a full course. A lesson with Phil Moss at The Fences would have sorted that out. It's a question of correct mounting. And....of course it's totally different from wearing branded T shirts. Subtle branding is OK I suppose, bold branding on clothes is just bad taste, nothing more. Barrel stickers on a shotgun are naff if they can't shoot. They're obviously trying desperatly to imply that they're sponsored. Otherwise what's the point? Scully
Nearly as bad as those adults who have some footballers name on the back of their shirts!
FinFerNan
Nearly as bad as those adults who have some footballers name on the back of their shirts! Or the guy who turns up every other week at our local Clay Shoot fully dressed up for a day at the Pheasants. Even in Summer..

Diceman
When I ordered a new Alfa a few years ago I specifically instructed "no dealer stickers or I will charge you for advertising" Sure enough when I picked it up there was a sticker in the back window and a nasty plastic 3d thing with the dealer logo on the rear. During the the PDI I asked who I should address the invoice to. It took them ages to lever the plastic thing off and clean off all the glue from the paintwork, and they had to keep feeding me coffee whilst they did it. Stickers on my guns? Not unless they pay me. And they certainly won't do that if they come & watch me shoot
