Quick f.a.c question

Recommended Posts

When I applied for my certificate I put down for .17hmr& .22lr.

Now it's here and it says .17hmr but only .22 not .22lr - now, does this mean I could get any .22 rimfire ie wmr?

Also ,on another note they have granted me an open ticket - perhaps I can get rid of the ginger *** that ate one of my chickens.

I would go with what you applied for - they will definitely question you if you deviate.

The safest thing to do is pick the phone up to your FLO.

(there have been several posts aboout situations like yours in the past - have a search and see what you dig up)

All the best :good:

In reality it should state .22 rimfire, and not .22 long/short or whatever. When I applied many years ago I wasn't sure if I wanted a standard long rifle or WMR so just applied for .22rf.I now have both, but are both on my ticket as .22rf,which is how it should be.If you applied for .22rf then you are perfectly within your rights to buy either a lr or WMR.They are both rimfire.

The only thing that will inhibit you is how your ammo is stated on your ticket...does it state rf or lr.If it states lr then you're scuppered unless you send it back and have it changed.

Hope this helps.

i applied for an extra .22lr and all mine said was .22 when it came through, called Kent to clarify and they said yeah whatever rimfire you want, they weren`t too worried as my cert was already opened upto .223 if they wanted to restrict on type they do it, however each county is different so check.

Also i take it you have fox listed on .17hmr & or .22

I applied for .22RF so that I could have chosen any rimfire in .22. I forget who advised me to do so, but my cert came back with .22RF.

Think all the Scotts have open tickets.
