Hull Comp X - Cheapest supplier in North East?

Recommended Posts

Well i and the lads i clay shoot with use Bradford Stalker. We just tend to buy the 28gram carts that he has on offer at the time. I have never tried the hull competion x's so can't comment on that. You could try Kieths Sports down at Saltburn. He normally is quite good on cartridge prices. Remember also that if you are travelling some distance to collect your cartridges add on the cost of your fuel, especially with the cost of petrol and diesel at the moment!

Hi Pat, my club buys in bulk from Bradford Stalker, usually "own brand" which were Eley, current batch are Eley 1sts. As I have arthritis and a damaged rotator cuff (luckily in the "wrong" shoulder) I'm looking at keeping the recoil down a bit and the Hull Comp X are supposed to be pretty good. Best I can find are £152/1000 + £16 shipping which is only 20p a box more than the club Eleys.

Yep i 've bought Bradfords own brand (Eleys) and found them to be great. Have you asked in the shop if they can match the best price you've been quoted? Might be worth a try if you're going to save money on the shipping. Just a thought :good:

Or you do as Pat does and sent a txt to a mate on Teesside who plods down there in all winds and weathers to get the cheap deals from Keiths, faithfully transports them back and is never even offered petrol money!. Ive been meaning to do a survey of North East gun shops to find who has the best deals. Can you buy direct from Proper Cartridges at Stanley - they make them and might have something to suit?

Proper Cartridges, are alive and well and very popular give George a ring, if you want low recoil in a 28g try his "little devils" for a faster more hard hitting cart try his "proper sporting", hes also does a lot of game carts which I believe are also very good, thou I don't shoot game.
