Thunderbird
Ha ha - no. I don't think I ever will to be honest. A mate of mine lusts after it but it's too good a gun to part with even though it's 33 this year!

Thunderbird
Good for you - if you remember do let me know how you get on. I have been told by my local shop I can try and 3 or a 5 and it will shoot identically. They don't have any 1 demo models.
retromlc
I stand to be corrected ,but all 686 models are the same action/barrels it's only grd of wood and engraving that bumps the price up.inside they are no different. Thunderbird
I did hear that 686e were soon to be no longer available new in the UK and that the SP1 was basically the replacement.

silverhawk
They have been out for years if you go for one get the sporter the field model will beat the **** out of you if you do alot of clays shooting. Also look out for the chokes optima are the new models and mobil the old ones.Ive still seen some mobil choke ones around that are new old stock but selling for same price. And look inside bores before you buy it as some have not been finished well and you can see scratches inside the barrel.Ive had around 4 in the past all been great guns with no problems and shot very well with them too.
