hey!

not sure if anyone remembers me, i came here a while ago asking if anyone has any animals they could keep for me to use as taxidermy practice :) well, i got almost everything finished ages ago and im quite pleased, so thanks for everyone who helped me out with that :D

anyways, on to the topic matter, id like to get hold of some foxes (not sure what time of year its ok to hunt foxes? im guessing all year)or dears, for their skulls, if possible? any kind of dear is fine, i can get the train to pick them up if your only a couple of towns away, or if your nearby ill walk up (im poor and dont drive :D)

so if theres anyone around who hunts deer or fox often, is it possible to hold them back for me? ill be able to start picking them up next week, the best way to keep them is lots of hard wearing bin bags tied up, that will keep away the smells etc and keep flies away. (i dont need them fresh, as im going to rot the flesh away :D so if your not bothered about having them lying around for a while, im not bothered what condition theyr in, as long as theres not bullets in its head!) also if you hunt any kind of bird, would you be able to save some of those aswell? ill need them fresh though, im making a collection of framed bird wings :)

thanks a lot for reading, hopefully someone can help me out with this strange request! :D

Hi Emz,

good to hear you're back....

did you ever get a chance for photograph any of the finished bits we supplied? would be keen to see.

heeyyy

i havent had a camera for ages so i cant take any of the squirrels(finished two of them). also ive got the skull of the fox, the skin was too old to salvage(foxes are so full of bacteria :S) and there was some quails, i messed up on both of them but i kept the wings :) (didnt realise how delicate the skin was :/

also the crows are finished, they looked pretty good so i gave them to my dad :D

so sorry about the photos :( i really need to sort this out, ive got a webcam on the computer but i need to fix it.

hope youve been alright anyway :)

hehe yeh :D i was living with my grandparents, and asked if i could keep some foxes in the freezer in bags for a night.

gary bought two gorgeous foxes to my house - he actually drove them all the way, and i put them in the freezer for the night. when i went to get them (imagine my surprise at loosing to ******* foxes)grandad had thrown them both out without telling me :( i was so upset!

so i told him i payed £70 each for them, let him believe it for a little while then told him the truth :3

anyways, if youve get some foxes ill be more than happy to come collect them :D

I suppose essex is a bit to far for you to come, as we constantly get to remove all sorts of animals that get hit by trains (london underground within the M25) foxes/deer/badgers etc, my skull collection is full of them, Ive got another pestie mate that lives in luton though, Ill see if he can get you any stuff, if he can Ill pm you his facebook name and you can chat directly to him

Em.

There's a woodcock in my freezer (oo-er) that I shot the season before last.

Would be interested to see what you could do with that?

Payment in dead foxes, etc of course ;)

ooooh ill see what i could do :) is there a particular pose youd like it in?

it may not be beautiful but ill do my best...birds are relatively easy to do, so i should be fine with it.

will be able to pick it up possibly on the weekend or monday, whenever your free :D

only thing is i need to get a few supplies (order in some borax and wires etc) so it may be a couple weeks before i can start work.

Hi Emz

I've got a stoat, couple of parakeets, loads of squirrels & magpies in the freezer. Always getting foxes as well.

We threw 85 crows, rooks & jackdaws in the dead pit last week

Did I give you the pippestrel bat? If so how did it come out?

SS

yeh the bat turned out well, ive got a photo http://th02.deviantart.net/fs51/PRE/i/2009/321/9/2/pipestrelle_by_SleepyEmz.jpg :D his wings are less crumpled now as theyve dried out, he looks pretty cool :)

also id love to come and pick up some of them, especially the magpies :) and a fox or two aswell :D i can come up after sunday i think, i tried to message you my number so we could arrange something but its not working :/
