markbivvy
had a call to go to a farm yesterday as two dogs had killed 2 sheep and 4 lambs. police and the vet got there before me, and put the dogs down. belonged to a young lady who has just moved to the village, and did not see no harm in letting the dogs roam. markbivvy
not the dogs fault at all, full sp is. the farmer had been chasing these 2 dogs all morning, lost em just about dinner time. when he went back out into the field he found them again with another sheep in a ditch, they had ripped the side of this one face of. called the vet and the old bill. then followed the dogs to a house at the far end of the village. the vet siad the full damage of what the dogs have done will not be know until all the sheep have lambed. they could all abort. the owner and her kids could not believe there dogs had done this. idiots. the last engineer
irresponsible owner! :< in my opinun she should own a dog if she is going to let them roam about where ever they like edd or not own one as the case may be. shame the owners arent held accountable, always the dog that suffers, along with the sheep/lambs and so on . SNAKEBITE
I'll never forget the time I saw a lady walking along Seven Sisters Country Park on the South Downs. She was going through fields that bordered on the fields where the sheep were lambing. Despite dozens of signs saying "Dogs on leads" she had her Alsation roaming free. Suddenly it darts into the sheep field. Luckily nothing was harmed but there was a moment where we were sure it was going to have to be shot. Why are people so stupid? I have had moments where my dog has bolted at something we haven't seen, but when there are signs all around..... Dozy old mare. :<

invector
I once saw a TV programme where a dog, that had worried sheep, was cured by tying it to a ewe, with a lamb at foot. The ewe butted the **** out of the dog, which stayed clear of sheep from then on.
