MC
I use Remingtons all the time and I have never had one. Or not that I have seen but then I don't check them anyway. They all could be split for all I know

al4x
I have heard of a few issues with them and they do seem to pack a bit more punch than other HMR bullets so there may have been an iffy batch about. My local keeper had an issue at the back end of last year with a few flyers and one that when unloaded having not been fired left the bullet in the chamber. That was out of 1000 and he was going to bring it up with the supplier, I've a mate who uses them and because he is left handed he can shoot out of the passenger side of my truck so all the empties get caught looking at his I've found the occasional cracked one but not many. If this is a new batch I'd be tempted to take it back as you aren't far off having one jam in the chamber I would guess as thats what happened to me when I had one go all the way down the side. Took a fair wack with a cleaning rod to get it out
CharlieT
I only ever use Hornady red tips and have done so ever since the HMR first came out and from the outset have had split cases from time to time.
pat g
I would say i get on average 1 split case in every 10 fired. I use hornady blue tips but i bought 200 orange tips last friday but have'nt tried them yet. Not that i think that will make any difference. Like an earlier post said,HMR case splitting has been mentioned before. Tbh i would'nt worry to much about it ATB Pat
