J@mes
I drove a brand new Mercedes ML350 on winter tyres while out in Austria and the grip they provided compared to my AT2's was absolutely outstanding - there is no contest what so ever, The AT2's are better in the mud for sure but on a road which was covered in packed snow I was able to drive normally when in the ML on winter rubber. The AT2 is a Mud and Snow tyre, it is not a winter/ ice tyre by any means! I'd definitely buy some winter tyres for a normal car
gixer1
its a little hard not to get the white writing its on every tyre however just tell the fitter to put the writing facing inwards Alex, Who told you that? I have 4 at2's on the driveway that bet otherwise Regards Gixer
J@mes
Mine have no white writing on them either. They fit those to the hillbilly vehicles.

al4x
you both have the dodgy low profile off road tyres though
J@mes
Distance from tyre footprint to alloy wheel rim is 6" on mine - so hardly low profile

Dempy
If you want AT2's you better get them quick, they have been dis continued and replaced with the new AT.

HW682
http://www.generaltire.com/tires/Grabber-ATsup2-sup click on sizes and specs tab near the bottom. Edit: this table should show which sizes come with white writing and which don't. OWL= outlined white letters BSW= Black sidewall *asterix against the size means not M+S rated. al4x
If you want AT2's you better get them quick, they have been dis continued and replaced with the new AT. worst move they will have made as whatever the off road racers say I can't see that new pattern being aggressive enough or open enough to not just fill with mud. J@mes
Trouble is Alex that they didn't have any choice - new EU noise laws for tyres or some **** like that has forced it. Not sure how they are going to get round it on mud tyres though - possibly make them off road only!
al4x
wonder if its EU or somewhere else as presumably they are mostly a US supplier. Its a shame but no sign of BFG getting rid of the AT or MT so may just be general tires
Alycidon
aT2s on my Disco 2 but would have gone BFG if they made the sizes at the time. AT2s have so far done almost 100,000 miles, think they should do another 25k. BFGs are said to last longer. Goes anywhere off road no problem, only been stuck once and that was my fault. On road ride at motorway speeds is fine. You will be happy with either IMHO.
