You will never catch those people carry all the pieon gear over a field of rape. too much like hard work for them.

TaxiDriver
If nobody is going there shooting, why dont others get in there ? If they're not gonna turn up and fulfill their commitments why the hell do they get the rights in first place ? Is it greedy farmers own fault for selling the shooting rights for big bucks/quick cash ? Do they give up the right to protect their crops ? Should they have been more careful about setting conditions when selling the shooting rights ?

UKPoacher
It's an age-old problem. If a farmer or land owner sells or rents out the sporting rights it is the duty of the sporting tenant to control vermin. The farmer or land owner can shoot vermin themselves and appoint one other person, usally an employee or family member. If the sporting tenant fails to control the vermin to the satisfaction of the farmer or land owner they can sue them for the cost of the damage although this is rarely if ever enforced. I shoot on a set-up like this. There are three farmers who phone the sporting tenant to tell him of any problems. He is a mate of mine so he rings me and I go out and fire a few shots, put some flags out or when time and conditions are right blat a few birds.
