OMEGA 800 RELOADING PRESS

Recommended Posts

they seem to get some dodgy reviews, I'd stick with the second hand idea. Having been down a similar route of do I buy second hand and what quality I bought an RCBS rock chucker kit from the states and the press on that is something else. I do have to justify myself that its a purchase to last a lifetime but having used one before having decent gear is half the battle of getting ammo loaded right

Absolutely agree - some new stuff can be a bit iffy, I would much rather have quality even if it is getting on a bit (aint we all) Plus second hand is second hand.... if you eventually sell on it doesn't loose so much cash - its like getting a new car - it looses 3 grand once you drive it out the showroom.

exactly the problem is finding it, the only plus point with buying from the states is you can re sell for more than you bought it for, with the kit here being 350-400 its a ridiculous price

Call me a pirate if you like, but its not the amount of money to buy something that annoys me but why the hell should we have to pay duty when it arrives here? I understand the government want more tax - greedy **** but why do they have to add 20% to the cost of shipping as well - especially when it is likely to cost $60 to ship a press, grrrrrrr :yp:

Anyway I am looking for a RCBS Rock chucker or a Lyman T-Mag by the looks of things.....l8r

The Lee kit looks so cheap and cheerful in comparison with say RCBS rock chucker and the like, I will be getting a lee hand loader for seating primers, I have already bought a lyman 55 powder measure so have started the gathering.

why are you looking at a £40 press then?
