graysclassics
Having no luck trying to get a cheap s/h reloading press for rifle - has anybody used one of these Omega 800 presses? Can be bought here in the uk for like £42 brand new. Seems a bargain, thats about what I wanted to pay for a decent s/h single stage press. Oxon88
never heard of them. why not get a lee kit?
al4x
they seem to get some dodgy reviews, I'd stick with the second hand idea. Having been down a similar route of do I buy second hand and what quality I bought an RCBS rock chucker kit from the states and the press on that is something else. I do have to justify myself that its a purchase to last a lifetime but having used one before having decent gear is half the battle of getting ammo loaded right
graysclassics
never heard of them. why not get a lee kit? The Lee kit looks so cheap and cheerful in comparison with say RCBS rock chucker and the like, I will be getting a lee hand loader for seating primers, I have already bought a lyman 55 powder measure so have started the gathering. al4x
from memory worked out about £250 importing the kit by the time you collect all the bits you need its not bad value and the press is something else. Its all just well built

al4x
exactly the problem is finding it, the only plus point with buying from the states is you can re sell for more than you bought it for, with the kit here being 350-400 its a ridiculous price

I understand the government want more tax - greedy **** but why do they have to add 20% to the cost of shipping as well - especially when it is likely to cost $60 to ship a press, grrrrrrr :yp: Anyway I am looking for a RCBS Rock chucker or a Lyman T-Mag by the looks of things.....l8r

graysclassics
why are you looking at a £40 press then? A slip of my imagination - it looks like cast iron, probably feels like cast iron, probably works like clap! It's off my list. My tightness overcame me for a second or two.....
