macs beretta
Hi chaps can any bikers out there please give me some of their knowledge,i have decided to sell my pride and joy on fleabay. She has been kept in my dining / bikeroom since i bought her about 3 years ago,no fluids on board petrol, water etc. Today me and our kid whacked a bit of water in the radiator and it started to leak out on the floor,it seemed to be coming from the cylinder head. Could it be possible that the gaskets have dried out cause shes not be run for such a long time? Thanks guys Regards Andy.
Supersonic
What a beaut!!!! I've had several of these in various states of tune. Leak could be any number of places, start with the drain plug. Nige
Devon Fox
Brings back fond memories - a real bike & very collectable As for the leak -
Paddy Galore!
Gaskets aren't usually a problem as they're under pressure, my guess would be check the hoses, clips and drain plug. can you lay your hands on a compressor? this might help to hear where the leak is. Very nice bike, i had a pre powervalve 350lc.

twitchynik
Nooooo, how could you! Lovely looking bike. Had the last of the decent 350YPVS's which got rebuilt a few times. Defo start with the main plug and work your way up. Bet you'll end missing it..!

bigstevouk
Did you take the cylinder drain bolt out when you stood her up? Very nice bike btw i've had a good few of them over the years B)
MaybeNextTime
It's very clean and a credit to you but no fluids at all? Fluids are pretty essential for long term storage as they inhibit internal corrosion. Oh well, too late now. Hard to say where the leak could be from but like the men say, did you check the drain bolt? Bottom hose clip?
