utectok
Imho the answer to the question are all cartridges much of a muchness I'd say yes! Even digweed says unless ur shooting subsonics you will not notice the diffrence ie pointing the gun in the right direction seems to be key! Blunderbuss
Seems to be s bit of a consensus then. But quite a few people must buy into the premium cartridge hype, otherwise there wouldn't be a market for them?

Guest cookoff013
actually, the most expensive carts do have differences.... harder lead, more antimony. better wads. hotter / magnum primers and often slower burning powder, but lots of it. to increase the fps. that extra "several" grains of powder will cost more. take vectan AS 20 grains for a standard cartridge take Vectan A1 27 odd grains for a standard game cartridge. the demand will fluctuate the prices. Pastiebap
Unless you put the right address on your shot it doesn't matter a damn what you use.
Mick Shaw
Its just like using sticky out chokes with holes in them, just for show, I break just as many clays with my cheap home loads as I do with shop bought carts,(on a good day)Its all in the mind...
MM
They are all the same. Nobody on here shoots like Digweed or Foulds (well, maybe Cat back when he had his own hair and Ray-Bans ) so we will never know what its like to shoot 10,000 carts every week. Gordon R
I have a mixture of shells from £135 per 1000, to £257 per 1000. I convinced myself the dear ones were better at distance. On Sunday, I loaded up my skeet vest with a mixture. I didn't look at what brand I was loading. No difference, but some were almost double the price. Spara Dritto
I think you're right Gordon, although, It would be interesting to see what the results are like if you did the same, but on distant targets like you mentioned? Let us know what you come up with? Edited April 19, 2011 by Beretta Italy
