GREENGRASS
Not literally but with the camera. The light was poor and hence the ISO was high with the shot so a little noisy I will get it right one day weather permitting. Tim Kelly
Must be a mug fish as it's trying to grab the rig that's not even in the water. My kind of fish! (check rig dangling from the tree above!)

GREENGRASS
Fantstic picture that ! How long were you waiting for that to happen or had they been jumping in that spot anyway, spawning i guess this time of year ? I had been at the location for approximately 3 hours. Initially I was after a shot of the geese fighting one another. However they were never in the right spot for me. The carp had been coming out of the water most of the time I was there. I noticed they normally came out twice so I just waited and moved quickly when required; this was only my second attempt as the light had deteriorated and my first attempt only caught the splash of the water about 10 minutes previously. I was just about to pack my gear away when this fish obliged by leaping for from a distance of 35 x 40 yards. Maximum zoom, large ISO, F5.6 I think and camera mounted on a gimble head which really helped with the shot. Hope this information has helped. GREENGRASS
Good picture As a ball park figure? how much does a decent camera cost for wildlife photography? your pictures are always very good! Ball park guess in the region of £500.00 its the glass attached to the camera that hurts your pocket Regards GG Edited April 15, 2011 by GREENGRASS
