flyingphil
Hello one and all, I am very new to shotgun shooting but have been on the shooting scene for many years in Target Pistol Shooting (10m Air & 50M RimFire). I have just gone coterminous with my FAC and I am looking to get into Clay shooting and hopefully once my skills are honed I would like to turn my hand to pigeon shooting. I just purchased a Silma Supreme 12g after trying a few different guns at lots of RFD's and this model just seemed to 'fit'. I am based in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire and was wondering if any other members are in my vicinity and would care to share their wisdom. I think there is a Sunday clay ground in my area but I am not sure, I would love to meet up and have a blast. Best wishes, Phil

JustJon
Hi phil, I'm just down the road in Claydon. Just applied for SGC and looking at the same as you, clay and later pigeon. Local shoots, in my direction from Aylesbury - I think there's one at Kingswood There's one at Calvert There's one at Drayton Parslow Think they're mainly every other week. If you need net links to any of these let me know, google will find them instantly. Also - I've started lessons at J12 of the M1, slight travel but worth it as I like the coach and setup. Let me know if you want details.

flyingphil
If you search for Aylesbury Shooting Ground on google you should find it. Its a nice shoot with different layouts every time. It is every second week alternating with a ground in Prestwood. Paul who runs it is very nice with free tea & coffee and bacon sarnies on sale. £21 for 100 bird round.
