Dunkield
OK I should have qualified that a bit better. I don't want to know about Chinese £1.99 airgun sights. It is for a centrefire, and needs to work

Sergeant
Well, the police have a very nice dot sight on their rifles, easy to acquire a target and very clear. Only 4x tho, and i cant remember who made it, i would guess Heckler and Koch or glock. hope this helps,

Lord Geordie
Used them in the past they are alright i used to use them on an old Innova .22 and they did the job Cant remember the name of them as they were with the rifle when i bought it  Good in the hours of Dusk but not too good for pitch black unless in conj with a lamping kit Good for quick target aquisition and for close range ratting etc with air rifles too LG Edited March 28, 2006 by Lord Geordie

Only kidding of course This is for a driven Boar trip coming up, we have been advised by the man who knows to ditch the glass and get a red dot as these things move pretty quickly. So not wishing to hang about, I have got some 30mm Warnes and have now bought a Bushnell for £65, from . . . ebay of course !! Edited March 28, 2006 by stuartp
the last engineer
stuartp, im no pro withthe red-dots but i have 2 fitted to my handguns both are Bushnell 1x28 Trophy Red Dots, i find they fit and stay locked in very well, also robust enough to take the shock and recoil of my .50" desert eagle and .357" mag GP100 i have broken lower end scopes, the led is bright and clear at low power, but will difuse at higher ranges, i find 1-3 power good enough, rings are weaver compatable and are well made, as a fast target aquiring add on i find it works well. hope this helps you.
