Natures_son
Steer clear of pure polecats mates The only thing you need to decide is whether your going to get a albino ferret or a ferret with polecat markings.
old rooster
Ferret is basically an albino polecat really. Polecats used for ferreting are not usually true polecat strain. Do you know how to tell the difference beteween a stoat and a weasel ? A weasel is weasily identified...... But a stoat is stoatally different. :o

henry d
But albino`s and sandies are easier to spot when ferreting hedges IMO
old rooster
But albino`s and sandies are easier to spot when ferreting hedges IMO Agree on that one in dense cover but you should be so atuned to what is going on that you see every bit of movement so good poleys are fine. I have, and work both.
palombier
I always thought that a ferret was a domesticated polecat, which is either albino or has polecat markings. P
