As long as it tracks consistently, holds zero, is nice and clear and you find it comfortable to use, a coke bottle is good enough :good:

Though as a rule, the more you pay, the better you get. (Funny that... :P )

I've got a Hawke 4-12x50 AO HD with illuminated reticule and it works perfectly well. (Cost was circa £80-£85)

Easy to use and accurate.

Recently purchased a BSA Sweet22 3-9x40 for my 22lr and don't like it, just cant seem to get on with it and that was £125

I bought it as its supposed to compensate for bullet drop and was designed specifically for 22lr (hence name I suppose)

Anyways, it's all geared to being zeroed at 100yrds and then you adjust the range on the side turret and the top turret accordingly and it should be spot on at whatever range, I emphasise Should be

If I hadn't spent so much on guns/shooting/clothing already I'd be changing it for another Hawke item

I have an AAS400 & had the same problem with my Nighteye so sold it. I'm using a simmons WTC 2.5*10X50 now - parralax had been adjusted before I bought the scope for air gun ranges and is clear as a bell. Currently saving up for an MTC connect though as the WTC is a duplex reticle & I have come to the conclusion I am more accurate with a milldot (or MTC's AMD/SCB) reticle.

I have a hawke nite-eye 3x9-50 an can't seem to focus it right for my eye, is this a good scope ? I'll cope if it is. If not what would be good on an aas410

You may have to adjust the focus as they are often set to 100 meters. Just unscrew the front part of the scope that is around the objective lens and turn the threaded part, that is attached to the front element, until it's in focus for air rifle ranges. Sounds complicated but is dead simple.

if you look at the info you get with it the 40grain bullet turret states 1250 fps not subsonic as i have one on mine and zeroed at 50 yards then put target out to 100 yards ajusted turret to 100 and it fell 2 inch low i had to turn it to 130 yards to hit zero at 100
