safetyfirst
What is the system to replace a moderator (on ticket) that is past its best the sak has seen better days. It depends if the serial number of your moderator and brand etc are listed on your certificate. a lot of certificates just list a .22 moderator of unknown brand in which case you can surrender it to a friendly local dealer and he can sell you a new one. Call your local shop for advice as it'll depend on your constabulary and how they like to handle things. Chris.
njc110381
Buy a new Sak "to put on your air rifle" and chuck the old one in the bin.
peek-at
Buy a new Sak "to put on your air rifle" and chuck the old one in the bin. Ditto - job done
ellebarto
Just done exactly that and I was told that every moderator sold has to be recorded and reported and as such each must be on your ticket as permission granted for. No matter whether the serial number is listed on your licence or not and regardless of what happened to the one your replacing. Complete pain in the a$$ but thats certainly GMP's take on the issue. At least they did my paperwork within the week!
Dekers
You can buy a SAK OFF ticket, you can even send it back to Jackson rifles who will replace it for 60% of cost. Strictly speaking for a listed mod on a FAC you need a one for one (serial number or not), that just shows how dumb the system is! There are potentially other ways in this situation! activeviii
dont ask for a SAK MODERATOR, ask for a SAK SILENCER for and air gun. there the same thing, ok some have a test mark on them but i bet not many.
Browning GTS
Yes just buy one for your air rifle. the only one of mine had to be added to my FAC was the wildcat as this mod has a proof mark on it.
