harpoonlouis
Over the last couple of week I have seen a lot of woodies marhing around on grassland, close cropped paddock areas etc. Anyone know for sure what it is they are feeding on? Long wet walk with the wife this afternoon confirme it 100% More on grassland than spring rape at the moment

cant hit rabbits 123
Oddly enough, I've noticed that the pigeons seem to have shifted from the crop fields (although I'm not sure about the crop there) to the grassy areas behind our workshop on which the cows graze. Just an observation that may be of some relevance to this thread.
CZ550Kevlar
Clover, with rape being up now and other crops getting to the bitter and horrible tasting stage then clover is the favourite, generally though given the choice pigeons are always up for clover as it never seems to go. harpoonlouis
Yep clover it is, had a closer look this morning at the paddocks they were on. While on the topic of clover, my neighbours all seem to use a lawn company called Green Thumb who come around 3-4 times a year and do lawn treatment, all of them have perfect green lawns without a flower or clover in them while mine is a mixture of clover dandelion and camomile. And they wonder where the bees have all gone! Thmbs down for Green Thumb and thumbs up for the bees.(Rant over)
