jamesmacc
hi, i have a cz hmr on order and im looking to get a nice scope to top it off with. my budget is £150 but may strech a bit further if needs be. im a bit of a kid when it comes to boys toys and like large scopes with all the features. i have seen a nikko nighteater 8-32x60 ao ir with mounts, sidewheel, covers and sun shade for £205. i also like the cheaper but still good spec nikko gameking 4-16x50 with ao ir etc for £80. does anyone have any reccomendations or have either of the scopes mentioned. cheers, james

ste eibar
I have a MTC viper 4-16x50 on my hmr it's a cracking scope for the money. Got mine from a mate for £150 he only had it out in the field once on his 223.
davesw
personaly i would not go for features on the scope what you should be looking for is quality of optics and light transmision through the scope cheaper scopes are not great in fading light and on high mag they tend to be fussy on eye releif so its hard to get on target particularly under a lamp light. the hmr shoots flat any way so no need for fussy reticule on the scope i would go for a used meopta or leupold if possible and mag up to 12x is fine i generaly use mine on about 6x mag. hope this helps dave
deputy dog
Have a look at the HAWKE RANGE of scopes. Been in similar situation myself looking for my HMR The Endurance Range iv seen are ver very good optic for the money. And they don't cost the Earth. No need at all to pay very out for a scope when a couple of hundred could sort you out a scope what will sort you out for all your shooting needs. Colster
If you're considering second hand and you want a vari then MTC Viper (if you like big target turrets) or Mamba (if you don't). Bushnell Legend's also seem a popular choice on a hummer. For fixed mag in your price range you might find a Leupold M-8 or Lisenfeld 6x42 for that money.
