Bluebarrels
After making some Crow socks last week and having some success in the field with them,i thought i would have a bash at making a few Pigeon socks To be honest most of my shooting is Crows, but i guess its good to have a few pigeon Deeks just in case Anyway here goes This is a first attempt at pigeon so be gentle As with the Crow sock ,template cut out of 5 mil plywood Raw plug used as mounting bracket(see crow socks for details) Tarted up with paint BB To be honest i think the Crow socks are more convincing than the pigeon suppose time will tell Edited June 9, 2011 by Bluebarrels

turbo33
Looking good BB and if the pigeon ones work as well as the crow version last week, well we're gonna need a bigger freezer
Bluebarrels
Looking good BB and if the pigeon ones work as well as the crow version last week, well we're gonna need a bigger freezer  Bigger freezer, lets hope so :good: Anyway thats the only one ive made so far Thought i would get some feedback first so i have a couple of questions, Q1, Do you think the colouring is convincing? Q2, Do you think i should make the front of the sock deeper?(so it collects more wind)This would also make the Pigeon more of a Magnum size and more visible to passing birds BB Edited June 9, 2011 by Bluebarrels
Cosd
Looks good mate but one comment if I may since you haven't made them all yet; the tail end looks a litle thick to me, I think I would have tapered it some more from the belly back. Great work though! And in answer to your question I wouldn't make them too big, I had sillo socks and always thought they were too big Cos
