food weights will vary on different brands as in normally the better the quality the less you will need to feed Check the bag for a guide line

Weight is a funny thing if you are happy with her condition and she is fit and healthy all is good, what did the vet say the last time she was in for a check up ?

What do you feed her ?

hit there,

yeah she is definitely fit! well the last time I went to the vets his exact words were "she is a specimen" quite chuffed with that but bare in mind this was a while ago and not much with her fitness and image has changed since. Im probably just worrying over nothing like usual  she is fed on chudleys working crunch.

thanks a lot!

that's good to hear then!

I never weigh the amount, just adjust the quantity to suit how the dog looks. I use a mug as a scoop and as an example, one springer is on 1 1/2 mugs and another on 2 mugs which sometimes goes up to 3 mugs when she's working every day.

Better to have them lean then fat.

I feed chudleys periodically and Dr Johns to vary things as mine gets a bit bored from time to time. How much depends entirely on amount of work and how much weight the dog is carrying. You want to be able to see a little rib but not too much and definitely they are better thinner than fatter though if you go into the season with a bit more weight on they soon loose it.
