Gordon R
Finally located a further gun, locked in a safe from a deceased friend's estate. I am disposing of this on behalf of his relatives. The gun is a Birmingham Gun Co (according to his cert) side by side. 27" barrels - chokes unknown. Bores look very, very clean - it has been sleeved. 3 1/4 nitro proofed for 2 3/4" shells. Non-ejector. Blueing is okay with a number of usage marks. Stock has been broken and glued at some point. It has been like this for thirty years. Stock is also heavily marked / scratched. although it looks to be a fair piece of timber in its day. Medallion set in underside of stock. Double triggers. Jointing seems okay, but stock to action has slight movement. I have no idea what it is worth and your thoughts would be appreciated. the_commoner
with no makers name, damaged stock, some pretty rustic engraving, sleeved etc i would say not very much at all. someone might give you £25 - £50 for it.
