Mark-70
What sort of distance do you guys zero your .22s for? Do you setup for the distance you shoot most frequently or is there a zero that works better on average than others?

Mark-70
Yes air rifle is the gun in question, my .22lr is zero'd at 50 yards as I find this works best for me, but I don't do much with air rifles so was unsure what the best distance would be because of the two distances the rifle will be zero at. I did a search for .22 zero and pigeon watch returned 0 results. Jason airarms tx that was the sort of answer I was looking for.
drut
Sub 12ft/lb zero: about 30yds works best for me.Chairgun, laser range finder & suitable scope reticle very helpful if you want to get most range.
Nial
Download ChairGun pro here.... http://www.hawkeoptics.com/chairgun/index.php .. and have a play with the parameters of your gun, pellets (there's a database), scope height above barrel and it'll give the trajectory of the pellets. It turns out my best zero range is ~37m (or 14.4m) as that keeps the pellet +/- 0.5" of the centre of the scope from ~15m -> 42m (from memory, it's installed at work). If I set the zero at 25m it reduces the range of the 1" 'kill zone'. Nial.

Nial
Perfect cheers Nial. No problem, BTW I'm fairly new to this so don't take that as gospel but some testing today seemed to confirm the Chairgun predictions so it seems to be a good place to start! Nial. I would say .177 is best zeroed at 35 yards and .22 should be between 25 - 30 yards, but definitely download Chairgun as it's a great free tool. demonwolf444
30 yards, ( 90 feet ) roughly, practice by putting 1 inch spinners at that distance then making sure im hitting every time on my little diy range then i got coke cans and other spinners and other home made targets at different ranges and heights inbetween, pretty fun.
