the fax has to be pinned to your application and put on someones desk , then used for a coffee blotter for a week or two , then it will be moved onto another desk piled high with applicationd "waiting to be printed , after printing it will sit in a drying tray for a few days before being moved to a desk to wait to go to the cheif constables office for signing . once in the signing tray on his secerateys desk it will be covered up by ok magazine and out of sight for a fortnight , she then finds it and gets it signed , its then in another tray waiting to be posted , but because of cuts they have run out of 2nd class stamps till the start of the next month .

so give or take a few days , i reckon a fortnight . :good:

I think it should be standard practice for all sgc applications to make at least a call to the doctors. If they rely on impressions, you could be cool as a cucumber on your interview, but a raging psychopath on the inside!!

Anyway, I think it would be a nice day for it to arrive today :) lol

Hello all, been a reader on herefor about a year now.

I'm mainly into air rifles, but about 8 months ago my friend got me hooked on clay shooting and rough shooting.

Put my licence in, feo out within a week, interview went well, cabinet all ok etc, he says there should be No reason not to have one.

Things they will 'frown' on I think

About 3 years ago I was accused by an employer of fraud, (i genuinley hadnt done anything), basically trying to make me a scapegoat, I was arrested and charged, and cooperated through the year long investigation. It went to court my employer couldn't lie under oath, judge threw it out, not guilty no conviction, police got a ********** for even allowing it to get that far

During the time I saw a doctor for stress due to this but mainly due to my work (understandable I think!!) I have been to see my doc and she says there is no reason I can't have a shotgun as I'm fine now, ain't seen her in a year (I changed jobs!!) and she has written on my record I am fit to be trusted.

Other things

6 points 10 years ago, no insurance (had run out)

3 points current for answering my phone (as my wife was in labour!!)

Thing is, will he have known all this before coming out do you think??

I think you will be fine, I too was on medication after my marraige break up.

Read a post titled sgc may be lost before it has been granted.

It is about my mates application, long complex story but all came good in the end.

My sgc was applied for on 7th march and issued on 7th of april, and that included writing to my GP to make surw I wasnt a mental case coz of the medication I was on after marraige break up.

All will be good mate I am sure, you can always phone the bscs they will put your mind at rest im sure.

Good luck and best wishes.

Schmoo.

Been out this morning with the air rifle to bag some rabbits for the dog, two foxes sat looking at me 20 yards away.........aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! My eye was twitching then!!

Where are you mate, im sure that if your land owner would allow someone here would be more than happy to come help you with the crows to keep the farmer sweet till your sgc arrives.

i think you'll be ok mate, when i was 17 (11 years ago) i was cautioned for 2 counts of abh, and one for shop lifting around that time i was experimenting with drugs (nothing heavy). i didn't declare the cautions originally as i didn't think a caution was the same as a conviction. when i had my interview and was asked about it all i was honest and explained the confusion with cautions/convictions and that i wasn't trying to deceive them and was granted my sgc a year later i got my fac. as long as your honest you'll be fine.
