Im thinking of purchasing a weirauch 95 but ive heard storys of hw95 not being 12 ft/lb until a few hundred slugs have gone through it what would you say was best?

Hi Brimsa, the hw95k .22 is a excellent gun its lighter than the hw80

all guns take use to bed in ,the hw95 is a good bunny basher

i have shot lots with my hw95.

The HW 95 is a graet gun full power and reasonable weight the silencer it comes with is also one of the best on the market ,all spring guns take a while to bed in , but you dont need 12ft LBs for clean kills you need accuracy and the 95 as with all the HW range has plenty of that.

The 80 is also a great gun but is much heavier and really only comes into its own when at FAC levels.

I now use a 97kt which is very heavy but also very very accurate .

as peopel have said hw 80 great gun used to have one well built :) also there are a lot of vmatch upgrades you add to to make a even better gun :)

Just like to make a point here and it's not aimed at the above poster.

Chrono'd my son's WH80 last night which is about 2 months old and it was reading around 11.6/11.8 lbs/ft (can't remember what his usual pellets are). He fired one type last night that went well over the 12lb/ft limit! :o BUT last week it couldn't reset a resettable target with my Daystate Lights at 20 yards! My HW97KT (chrono'd at about 10.8 lbs/ft, my son-in-laws TX200 at about 11.5 lbs/ft) had no problem with the same target.

This is not aimed at the HW80 because it's a lovely gun, but just goes to show what a massive variable pellets alone can make to ANY gun. My HW97KT is still running in as it's only 1 month old, and I'm still experimenting with what's the best pellet for it.

Just wanted to point out how careful you have to be when you're talking about power and legal limits
