Fuji Shooter
Picked up my new Red SX3 on Friday and was really looking forward to a Sunday on the clays. For some reason this gun discharges when the latch is dropped. Bit scary at first as it took me by surprise. Next issue if I manange to get the latch closed and pull the trigger nothing happens then afer a while it will empty the gun without pulling the trigger again (more scary). After speaking to a couple of dealers claiming to have new SX3s in stock it turns out a couple of them were returns from Browning that "had issues" but have now been fixed. This is my 3rd red SX3 and always regretted selling the other 2 so was over the moon to find a brand new 30" version. To say I am a bit miffed and the shine has gone is putting it mildlly. So I guess its another 3 hour round trip to return the damn thing. Should I get it returned for repair or ask for my money back and look elsewhere. As stated its brand new and I only put 8 carts through it before i classed it as a lost cause and a bit too dangerous. Know nowt about the workings of a semi, but I have to admit the SX3 is a good looking gun . Personally, I'd be asking for an identical replacement (and the shop can return it as faulty) or my money back. I'd only give them the option to repair on a s/h that I couldn't get anywhere else for the same price.
Fuji Shooter
I have had issues with the first Flanigun I had resulting in it being returned for exchange but the second one I owned worked faultless which is why I got the third. I,ll call them on Monday and see how the land lies, Rugby Gun are normally quite helpful. Edited June 26, 2011 by Freakmode
TaxiDriver
If you accept any form of repair, I believe you have then weakened your position IF it should go wrong again in the future and you want to return it for refund ?
kent
If you accept any form of repair, I believe you have then weakened your position IF it should go wrong again in the future and you want to return it for refund ? No check out the Law this is not true unless it is repaired or modified by non authorised persons. It is the dealers responsibility by the way not BWM who are only answerable to the dealer, if he gets no joy from them then unfortunatly its his tough luck and he must exchange / repair or refund
ste12b
I would ask for my money back and put a formal complaint in to the company as the gun has discharged incorrectly (from your description). Buy an escort ! I have had no problems with my own (it gets cleaned though). Edited June 27, 2011 by ste12b
bullet boy
To be honest I've never had any problems whatsoever with my SX3.
Fuji Shooter
I phoned them this morning and he said he would take it back and send it off. I stated that I would like a full refund as its a 3 hour round trip. I have read somewhere someone else also had the same issue with the Super SX3. Why not ask them to have it collected? saves the 3 hour round trip? I bought my 525 from rugby but had no reason to contact them since the day i walked out of the shop with it! super sharp shooter
Take it back to the shop and state that it is not fit for purpose and unsafe and tell them you want a full refund as you have no trust in the make or model. Been there done it with a hatsan and walked out of the shop with a full refund
