cooked chicken

Hello all just wondering if its ok to treat a 10 week old lab to a bit of cooked chicken.

For rewarding him when he messes outside toilet trainning

Some will say a stroke and good boy is enough

But yes chicken is fine dont over do it though, mix it up a bit use the dry food he eats as well

One of the best things i have found as a extra special treat is to get some cheese and cut into 5-10mm cubes and put it in the fridge so it will go hard.

 

 

That seems to work nicely for my dogs.

there are times when food reward is good, others were it isn't and some when its pointless. this is the latter as you will never get the timing correct unless you feed it when its actually doing its thing - which i dont think it will eat and evacuate its bowels simulaniously anyway. The dog will soon learn when its a good time for a poop

Just do not give it cooked chicken bones, or you could be facing a serious trip to the vets.

If you are using treats, cooked chicken is fine.
