Shotgun certificate arrived this morning after nearly 3 months of waiting .

(and there was me thinking it would be easy since I already had a section 1! )

I really (really) want to go out and buy a gun today but I will be made redundant on the 14th and I find out on monday if I have a new job to go to or not!

This is going to be the longest weekend ever :/

Fingers crossed!

Hope it all pans out for you Foster. I'm sure you could pick up a cheap outfit to get you going even if the worst happens. You might have a good bit of time on your hands and what better way to occupy it.

Good luck chap.

My mate went to the local gunshop and picked up a 12g shottie for £25 so his dad could use when visiting from Cyprus. It doesn't look great but pointed in the right direction it drops birds.

Put a wanted post on the forum or ask your local gunshop/s, something to get by with until you are back on your feet.

Good luck!

I've always found that the one of the necessary cutbacks when out of work is shooting.

If you get to the extent of paying your mortgage on credit card £15 or £20 for a mornings shooting simply isn't justifyable!

If you are a "worker" not a "shirker" unemployment doesn't last forever :/ and it will spoil a new gun if when picking it up all you can think about is the debt involved !

good luck with monday

Bought one last weekend for £20. Nice shooter and took 2 pigeon from three. Not bad for a single shot
