i had a 3/9x50 (i think it was that one) on my 223 was a nice scope and the glass was very good, i sold it with the 223 and i think the lad that had it was well happy with it,

anyway i think (as mentioned) they are made by Leupold so they will be

i just wish they had a better selection, but then again they don't want them out selling the Leupold do they

bob.

PS: i think they have a better eye releif than leupold's.

What is your budget?

I've had Leupolds in the past VX II's and < on rim-fires.

I sold them as I found them milky and disappointing in low light, can't see how the Redfields would be any better?

European made scopes have an unbeatable reputation.

Im not expecting any freebies, they are doing us a favour it seems by meeting in Nebraska at Hornady rather than us travelling all the way to their west coast lair.

OK, we'll scrub around the freebies, but there's me and AN Other who will happily pay for some Hornady 224 50gr SP SX. :D:lol: If Hornady could stuff a few in their next shipment.

Buster the new Redfields are basically Leupold VX1 for less money. Made in the same factory as Leupold and come with the same warranty. They are good scopes for the price.

We've been here before. I had a wide angle version back in '77 and couldn't fault it. Have just met up with the old mate I was shooting with then when I got it. He's also into them. Rem is correct. They've improved the focus adjustment from the friction system to the better 1/4" click and cost saving is made on cosmetic finish. All else, as Rem states.
