Edward
They are the same thing Mine was a mk2 I think and was fantastic as long as it was kept clean it worked well. A lot of snobbery goes on about them, but if it fits you and your budget go for it

Darcshadow
simple, the hatsan escort with ESCORT written on the [under the] ejection port side of the shotgun is a 12g proofed for 3" cartridges, the escort MAGNUM which is stamped with escort magnum in grey under the ejection port side is the newer model which has the same features as the previous (such as proofed for steel, self loading and 2+1 as standard import) but is proofed for 3.5" chambers in 12g therefore a little bit more expensive:D Escort is 3" Escort Magnum is 3.5" newer model I just cleaned up my escort 3" literally 2 hours ago after clay shooting in the ******* rain for an hour and a half on sunday (i didn't take cover like the muppets with the wooden guns did )where i ringed out my shirt and it could've filled a cup with water, and it only failed to feed 2 out of c.180 cartridges right at the end, wonderful gun made like a bull, performs better than some of the berettas were... IMO unless you plan on shooting canada geese or foxes with 52grams of BB size shot then i dont see why you would need the 3.5" chambers

Wildfowler12
Correct me if im wrong but i think some of the statements above are incorrect... The magnum is the 3' and the 3.5' is the super magnum...
